Technology Training

Our library offers free training classes that cover a range of topics, from the basics of computers to advanced use.

Classes are divided into two categories:

Connect Ohio: Every Citizen Online

Through a grant from Connect Ohio, the Every Citizen Online program is series of three courses covers Computer Essentials, Internet Essentials, and Email with Gmail. After completing all three courses, students receive a certificate of completion.

You must register for each of the three courses individually.

Technology Training

Developed by Technology Trainers at the library, these courses cover many subjects, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher), digital imaging, Web 2.0, and tips for job hunting online.

Registration

Use our Event Finder (under Events+Classes in our top-of-page navigation bar)

Choose the following options:

Subject: Technology
Audience: Adults

Your local branch may also offer additional classes not listed on the printable brochures. Use the Event Finder as described above, but select your branch in the “Location” drop-down menu.

Our instructors want to maximize classroom benefits for all students.

Classes start promptly
If you are late, you may lose your seat, even if you have registered. You are expected to catch up on your own if you are delayed.
Prerequisites are observed
Some classes assume you are proficient in certain tasks (clicking/highlighting, saving/printing, editing, using undo, etc.), so please take note of any prerequisites listed for classes. Instructors regretfully cannot devote class time to review.
Classes are for adults 18 and over

Self-Guided Learning

The Library provides access to the Learning Express Library subscription database, available online FREE to our library card holders. Access this resource from anywhere with an Internet connection.
