Try your hand at drawing with chalk at Berea's 20th annual Arts Fest. This event takes place outside the library along Coe Lake and chalk is provided. Sunday, September 12th from 10 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Registration suggested but not required.

Attend all three classes to learn the foundations of knitting. Presented by members of the Berea Grindstone Knitting Guild. Tuesday, September 28th, October 5th and October 11th 7 pm. Registration required and limited.

The Thursday Evening Book Group will resume on Thursday, October 14th at 7:30 p.m. with Half-Broke Horses By Jeannette Walls. Books available September 8th. Registration requested.
Renovated in 2009 to provide more pleasant surroundings for its customers, the Berea Branch contains a wide range of materials – from best sellers to classics to compact discs, videos and DVDs, books-on-tape, CD-ROMS, and an excellent selection of popular periodicals. The branch also has two meeting rooms available for use by non-profit groups, computer terminals providing access to the Internet and many electronic databases, and a room for quiet study. Programs are also offered for all age groups.

For your convenience, the Berea Branch Library is the one of the first branches of Cuyahoga County Public Library to feature Express Check stations. You can check out and renew library materials and pay any fines in a few easy steps. Staff is always there to assist you and a traditional check out station is readily available. Next time you visit be sure to try it.
Berea Branch now has several new SIZZLER magazines such as Entertainment, In Touch, Taste of Home, and Woman's Day available to be checked out for three weeks.
Book Discussions at Berea Branch
The most popular non-fiction subjects at Berea Branch are arranged, in Dewey Decimal Order, in "subject neighborhoods" such as "Home & Garden", " Health & Recreation" and "Business & Technology" which includes "Travel", with other subjects in the "Rest of the Story."
A girl scout troop recently brought their stuffed animals for a Teddy Bear Sleep Over in the library.
About computer use
The purpose of the Friends of Berea Branch Library is to provide volunteer assistance to the library staff and to raise money which is used to support activities at the branch and to purchase items needed by the library. Funds are raised by annual dues and trhough book sales. Berea's Friends sponsors our annual holiday program, many of the big children's summer specials, and other successful programs throughout the year.
