Welcome to the Mayfield Branch Library

The Mayfield Branch Library maintains a large collection of fiction and nonfiction books, DVD recordings, magazines and area newspapers. We also maintain a collection of large print books and books on CD and Playaway for those who prefer books in these formats. Our library also has access to a collection of full-text books in electronic form that can be browsed online and even 'checked out' to users of our digital collection. Numerous databases can be accessed through our website.

What's New

 Where did the cookbooks go?

If you haven't visited us for awhile (and even if you have!) you'll discover many changes regarding where materials are shelved.  Looking for computer information, a cookbook, diet and exercise books?  Head upstairs to our nonfiction floor!  Need a good novel, want that in Russian, looking for an exercise DVD - take a look on the first floor (and in new locations).  Please ask for a grand tour and we look forward to showing you where you'll find all you need.

Mayfield High School Yearbooks

We now have a small collection of yearbooks at the library.  It is not a complete set, but we have a variety of years that were generously donated by the Mayfield High School Alumni Association.  Please stop by the first floor Reference desk if you would like to view a yearbook.  If you have yearbooks you would like to donate to the collection please contact the branch manager.

The Friends of Mayfield Library is an organization of area residents who wish to support the Mayfield Branch and help it continue as a dynamic community resource.

The Mayfield Friends host a monthly book sale at the Mayfield Branch. The sale is held the first Saturday of the first full weekend of the month. The book sale is from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We need all the Friends we can get:

  • to stimulate greater interest in the Library
  • to share the Library's needs with the community and the community's needs with the Library
  • to assist in maintaining, improving, and enlarging the Library's resources and services
  • to support the Library's staff in requested areas with our volunteer hours
  • to foster and promote innovative ways of involving the Library in the life of the community
