Get a Library Card and Library Account?

Complete an application online or at any of our branches.  You must present proof of identity & residency (at the library branch to finalize your application) before you can checkout any items.  Once you have a library card, you also have a library account.   More about Library Cards

You now have the option to set up a username.  Choosing an easy-to-remember username makes both logging into your account and ordering items from our catalog simpler since you don't have to remember and type in your entire library card number.  Read more about

Find My Nearest Branch?

Find your branch on our library branch map, on an alphabetical list, or by finding your community (servicing branch is listed at the top of your community page).  If your favorite library is not the branch nearest your home, you can choose any branch as your "Home" library.

Download the CCPL Mobile app?

Our CCPL Mobile app is available for cardholders to download FREE from the app stores of all smart phone and tablet platforms. Use it to search for, check out, and renew items from our catalog, access your account, find our branches, text questions to KnowItNow 24x7 and more. Details and QR code

 

Find an Item in the Catalog?

Use the Search Box in our catalog to search by Keyword, Title, Author, or Subject. To save a list of items you've found, try our Book Cart feature.  Catalog lists of our newly added DVDs (for Adult/Teen and Children, with Children's Videos, too!), newly added AudioBooks, newly added Large Print books, and other interesting and informative catalog lists

Sign up for Email / Text Message Notices?

Great for your convenience and helping keep our costs down!  After logging into your library account, choose "Modify Personal Information" and then enter your email address.  Or, choose notification by Text Message by entering your cell phone number.

Check My Account?

If you have a valid Library Card, you have a Library Account.  To access it, Log in with the
My Account link on the left of our pages; click on Enter or on the Library Card image

Next, enter your library card number(Barcode) & PIN (Personal Identification Number).

Renew My Items Online?

After you've logged in, go to your "Items currently checked out."   You may want to "Sort by Due Date" (button).  Choose the item(s) you want to renew, and then choose either the "Renew Selected" or "Renew All"  button. You can renew most items up to 20 times (if no waiting list).

Check on a Returned Item?

Is a book, CD, or DVD still showing up as a checked-out item on your account record after you remember having returned it to the library?  Please contact staff at your local branch.  They will check on the matter for you.  Remember, if you'd returned an item to a library other than one of our 30 library locations, it is going to take longer for it to be returned to one of our libraries and we have no control over how long that will be.

 

Pay My Fines Online?

After you've logged in, go to "$xx.xx in unpaid fines and bills."   Then choose the "Pay Online" button to pay Fines/Fees with your VISA, MasterCard, or debit card.

Request Items Online?

When you find the item you want in our catalog, request it by choosing the "Request" button.  Requesting more than one item?  Try our Save Items feature.  Note: there is a 75 item limit on the number of items you can request on one card.   Freezing you Holds option

Requesting Items from Other Libraries 

Request items from libraries whose collections we share using Search Ohio & OhioLINK in our catalog.  You can also try Booking certain items.

Find a Library Event (a program at any library branch) or Booksale?

To see what programs are offered at our branches or administration building, try either of these methods; use the first method to also find other special events, online events, or library events at other venues:

  1. To do a Program search,  try our Event Finder (use the tab near the top of any page )

    • Enter the Branch Location, the Audience, and/or the Type of Event (may also search by Subject)
    • Enter the date range of the time period through which you want to search
      • You can view past events by choosing a date range in the past.
    • Choose "Show Events"
    • or search by Keyword 
    • When the list of programs is displayed, click on the Program name for more information

      NOTE: choose "Administrative Office Building" for systemwide or special events held in our Administration Auditorium or Meeting Room. 

  2. For programs at your branch, choose your branch from the Branch List Page, and under its "Events & Classes" section, choose "View All Events." 

 

Find Out About Book Sales?

To find book sales, go to our Event Finder (under Events & Classes at the top of any page on our site).  Select a location, select the Type: Book Sale and indicate the dates you want searched.  Booksales will display.
