General Educational Development

 

FREE GED classes are offered at select library branches. For all classes, 
orientation is required — see orientation requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to attend these free classes.

Schedule below covers GED and GED-IT classes offered at our library
branches by area ABLE (Adult Basic and Literacy Education) organizations;
Parma City Schools ABLE has more opportunities at other locations.

 

FREE GED Practice tests are also offered at select libraries; see Practice Tests below.

GED Practice Tests

 

Parma ABLE is offering Practice Tests for the GED (at no charge– call Parma ABLE for details @ 440-885-8797) at the following branches:

Brooklyn Branch, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Tuesdays,   February 5, April 9,  June 11

Maple Hts. Branch, from 4:00 to 9:00 PM 

Mondays,    February 11, April 22, June 3


Orientation/Registration for GED Classes at the Library

 

You must register on first day of class and you must stay for the mandatory orientation session at that first class. Winter classes are in session; check back later for spring classes and orientation.
 

Requirements needed on the day of Orientation:

  • Must be on time and then stay for entire Orientation session.
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have Photo identification
